Pebble Hill Plantation Wedding
This was such a dream of a day to be a part of. I can’t say how often I just feel truly blessed to have the opportunity to walk alongside amazing couples and experience one of the most precious days of their lives. Each wedding day has it’s own special charm, memories, and moments that I’ll never forget and what an incredible job to capture them! But I digress…. These two are so special, so in love…and just beyond kind. They are so filled with love and gentleness, thoughtfulness and compassion and it doesn’t just stop with their love for each other, but extends to all those around them. It was so wonderful to spend the day of their dreamy Pebble Hill Plantation Wedding capturing this kind of all encompassing love!
Here’s a little more from the bride because who better to tell their story… ; )
Ryan and I met 6 years ago. Even though we attended the same, small high school and went to the same proms, we had never gotten to know each other. 4 years after graduating, our paths would cross again. On Memorial Day weekend, we both attended the first Country 500 Music Festival in Daytona Beach. Ryan spotted me taking pictures of my friends and asked if we wanted him to take a picture of us. I obliged and soon realized that I actually knew the guy behind the camera. Ever since that day it has been a whirlwind romance knowing from early on that he was the one that I had been waiting on my whole life.
For Easter weekend this past year, Ryan invited my family to his family’s property on the Ocklawaha River to bond and to get to know each other more. On Easter Sunday we planned to take family pictures around sunset time down by the water so I grabbed my camera and headed down from the cabin.
As we neared the water, I could see an archway (that Ryan had built! WHAT!?) over the end of their family’s dock with him standing underneath it with a bouquet of babies breath in his hands. As began to grasp what was happening, I turned to my sister with tears in both our eyes and began to walk towards the man of my dreams. While I approached the burlap isle lined with candlelit mason jars and rose petals, I could hear our song playing. We were both standing under the archway as the sun was setting over the river when Ryan got down on one knee and asked, “Lily Grace DeVirgilis, will you marry me?”
